BUSY RENO WEEK...

This week has been exhausting..but so worth it...Chris had the week off. We planned to do some home reno projects that have been way over due. The upstairs bathroom really needed some upgrading. The bath and sink are that kind of fake marble that's molded...over time u see hairline cracks form where the colours differ...we couldn't afford to change the bathtub but the sink needed to go.The cabinets were in great shape but outdated ...so...primed and painted them all a chocolate brown, new knobs and hinges and voila..they look great (I think)..and changed the light fixture...new faucets.....What do u think? Here are some before and after pics...

Amazing how paint can change a room...add a new shower curtain and accessories..some organizing baskets..new shelf..and it feels like a brand new room....I love going in there now lol...hope the novelty lasts for a long time.

We also took down a whole hallway of wallpaper and painted it. We then started on the downstairs bathroom...it had wallpaper all over it...all curling..was like that when I bought this house 6 yrs ago but never got to doing something about it. We removed it all thinking we would just paint..but found major probs...we knew there was some water damage but with more investigation..it Major worse then we thought...Given that we would have had to redo all the tile work around a bath that was badly planned in there...we decided to gut the whole thing...the mold issue was serious..the floors were not level so the existing tile work was cracking..so we have a major job to do..will post pics soon...its now down to stud.....all demolished by my own he man stud Chris lol. So much hard work...the fun part what u end up with...totally different..and a great investment for the house. Stay tuned...

Lucky you; I'd love to upgrade th bathroom. We cleared two sculleries to make a second bathroom, years ago and guess what - it's full of my husband's junk!
Thanks for your visit. Coinsidence - last night I was awakened by the moon - it was incredibly bright.

The reno looks gorgeous! I love that shade of blue and dark brown together. you guys did a great job!
Congrats on the new pup...he looks adorable, glad that he has fit in nicely. It is incomprehensible to me how people can just toss their animals aside like that. Tayo has found a wonderful Forever Home now. I'm sure he is much happier.
And the pictures of you are absolutely GORGEOUS!
